Well, its been almost over two years since I first set up this site at Tripod. It was the first time that I had ever tried
my hand at creating my own website, and I have to say, I did a pretty good job with it, although no one noticed it.
On it, I posted my thoughts about the California recall election and about Bush. Knowing me, you would probably know already
what I would have said. In fact, I even uploaded my own pictures as well, although I sorely *wish* I had known of the importance
of the simple term "SAVE AS" for both the pictures and the mp3s.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the only problem, the notice and all. I revealed the name of this site to one of my peers at
my mother's church, and then she revealed it to the staff of the church as well, since I was going to school there as well
(I was just starting 11th grade). Almost immediately, they brought my Mom into the fray, pointing out to her just how angrily
denounced Dubya ("the police are not going to visit my house, understand me?!").
Thus, in a premature act of violence, I killed this website and its content.
It was November of 2003, I believe.
---------------------------------------
Now, its July of 2005.
I'm a high school graduate as of May 21; I'm on my way to Oglethorpe University in Atlanta as of August 27, where I'll
be pursuing studies in Business Law and other Law stuff.
We attained our own computer back in February of 2004; we gained the Internet the previous month; prior to this, I was
relying upon the Internet provided by the Public and Base Libraries, even to create this website. I set up an account at DeviantArt
at the same time; LiveJournal and Xanga came a few months later.
However, many things have gone from the face of the Internet and the world at the same rate as other things have been
attained.
Kaijima's site is gone.
Aaron Romo, creator of FVH from Squirrelworks, has quit the comic in order to promote it in, or at least go back to, the
animation industry.
Son Dexter's site is gone, so no more of his Sade "No Ordinary Love" Remix.
Mrs. Patrick died back in late March 2004 in her classroom.
Jean-Bertrand Aristide was overthrown by a bunch of US-backed rebels in Port-au-Prince.
Bush was re-elected. Yick.
Things like that.
BUT, now I've returned.
I've finally returned to this site in order to rebuild it from the ashes.
Now I'm more wisened, more learned, and, hopefully, more capable and skilled in the setting up of this website. Hope you
guys can help.
